COURTNEY ISAAC
Courtney is originally from Cleveland, Tennessee, but Birmingham has been home base since she was 9 years old. She studied International Business and Spanish at the University of Alabama, and had the privilege of studying abroad for a year in Costa Rica. After graduating, she continued at UA to earn a Master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) while working with international students. She taught English in Alabama for a few semesters and then moved to Saudi Arabia in 2014, where she lived and worked as an English teacher and served alongside a team of missionaries.
ICC was recommended by several friends when she returned to Birmingham in the summer of 2018, and she became a member once she and her husband Steve got married in January of 2019. They have two children, Jameson (4) and Millie (2). Steve's parents live in their home in the southern part of India, and Courtney's parents live here in Birmingham.
To Courtney, some of the most wonderful things about ICC are the authenticity, the heart, and the servant leadership. She began volunteering for Hands Team during the Ramsay High School days, and then shifted to Children's Ministry and became a deacon in 2021. She now works part time on staff as the Children's Ministry Coordinator.
Courtney’s role includes:
Supporting our Children’s Ministry Director
Preparations for Sunday services
Volunteer training, equipping, and organizing for regular services and special events
