FAMILY ADVOCACY
WHY FAMILY ADVOCACY MATTERS
“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”- James 1:27
In scripture, we see a biblical call to care for vulnerable children and families. While this can look differently for each individual and family, we all have a role in supporting children and families and exemplifying the love of Jesus.
HOW TO PARTNER
SERVE ON A WRAP TEAM
A WRAP Team is a group of 5 people who serve a family who is currently fostering or who has recently adopted. This team serves them in four main ways:
Wrestling in prayer - Asking for prayer requests and praying for the family
Respite care - things like babysitting or accompanying the family on an activity
Acts of service - providing a meal, lawn care, etc.
Promises of God - reminding them of promises in scripture
A person serving on a WRAP team once a month meets a need of the family they are serving through one of these avenues.

BECOME A FOSTER PARENT
WHY FOSTER?
Becoming a foster parent provides the opportunity to love and support children and their families in the midst of difficult circumstances. Fostering a child allows you to partner with a family and champion them as they work toward reunification. Through sacrificial care of a child in their home, a foster family shows the child and their biological parents that they are loved, valued, and seen here on earth and by the Father.
