Breaking Free From Body Shame
Breaking Free From Body Shame: Dare to Reclaim What God Has Named Good by Jess Connelly
Many of us feel frustrated with our bodies. Then we wonder if even thinking about them is shallow. As Jess Connelly teaches, the way we view our bodies is far from a superficial issue - it’s a deeply spiritual issue. In fact, loving our bodies is a way of receiving God’s love for us. Our bodies are gifts from God, not something to starve, critique, or feel shame over. Now more than ever, we desperately need to hear and see the glory of the Lord regarding these good bodies we've been given. Join Ashley Johnson and Emma Bishop to discuss body shame through a biblical lens and find freedom!

Unwanted
Unwanted: How Sexual Brokenness Reveals Our Way to Healing by Jay Stringer
While most books on sexual sin focus on the act itself, this book takes a deeper look at the reasons behind why people sexually act out. While confronting past trauma factors, current sin struggles, and deep Gospel hope, we will learn to look beyond the "what" of our behavior and start asking "why?" Identity Theft
Identity Theft: Reclaiming the Truth of Who We Are in Christ edited by Melissa Kruger with Trillia Newbell, Hannah Anderson, Jen Wilkin, and more.
Who am I? It's a question we all ask ourselves at some point. Depending on the season we focus our identity on our job performance, marital status, personality type, or social network, among other options. However, there's a larger question to consider. Who does the Bible tell me I am in Christ? From the wisdom and perspective of insightful authors, we'll seek to answer this question by: Exposing our false notions of identity, understanding the biblical truth of our identity in Christ, and reflecting on what it looks like to live in our new (and true) identity.
In 10 chapters we'll cover everything from our identity as children of God to citizens of heaven. Join us this fall as we gather to share dinner and learn with each other as we explore how knowing who we are in Christ changes every aspect of our lives. Please contact Brittney Cabrera or Nancy Roderick if you have any questions about this group!
