SALVADOR BLANCO
Salvador was born in Compton, CA, and raised in Russellville, AL. He is of Guatemalan heritage. He majored in communication studies at the University of North Alabama. He married his high school sweetheart, JonEllen in 2021. He is currently studying for his M.Div at Beeson Divinity School, and graduates in May 2025!
Salvador serves the church by facilitating its music, congregational singing, and tech. When the Blancos moved to Birmingham in the Summer of 2022 they were sure they'd become members of Iron City Church. ICC was in need of a Music Director at the time and decided to bring him on staff in July. Salvador loves the rich expositional preaching, warm fellowship, authenticity, and meaningful membership at ICC. The loud singing of the saints each week makes his job refreshing. In 2025, Salvador’s role has expanded, and he serves in music, as well as a Pastoral Assistant to our pastoral staff and programs.
Salvador’s role includes:
Sunday service planning, preparation, and production
Leading worship and tech teams for Sunday gatherings and special events
Assisting with the ICC Membership process and other programs to support our pastoral staff
