Sunday sERVE TEAMS

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

Through our Children’s Ministry, we seek to come alongside parents in shepherding their children through discipleship, praying and teaching, and providing parents with additional resources to encourage Gospel conversations. Volunteers serve once a month in the Baby/Toddler Nursery, the Preschool Ministry, or the Elementary Ministry.

If you would like more information on our children’s ministry, please contact the children's ministry team. To serve in children’s, please review our Child Protection Policies and complete the Children's Volunteer Application.

HANDS TEAM

Hands Team is a vital ministry of ICC, and one of the most practical service areas we have. Volunteers arrive at ICC at 3:15 pm to help prepare the church and communion for Sunday service, and stay after service for about 20 minutes to handle any cleanup needs. How often a volunteer serves is dependent on the individual’s schedule and preference.

If you’re interested in serving in this area, please contact Lex Ivey.

HOSPITALITY TEAM

The Hospitality Team desires to create an environment where everyone feels welcomed. Practically, our team greets the congregation each week and seeks out to connect our body whether that be sharing more about ICC with a first time visitor, helping someone get connected with a serve team or community group, or simply welcoming back long time members each week. We ask for a commitment of serving 1 Sunday per month.

If you have any questions, want to join the team, or have a suggestion to share, please contact Kimberly Glanding.

Parking TEAM

Our Parking Team works to take the stress out of parking every Sunday. Whether it's directing attendees to open spots, helping families cross the street, navigating a traffic jam, or simply being the first line of greeting, you'll be part of making Iron City as welcoming as possible. If you're interested in spending 30 minutes before service to help out, please fill out the serve form or contact Trey Hayes.

SAFETY TEAM

The Safety Team works in conjunction with our Parking Team and Safety Officer to ensure every member and visitor feels cared for and protected as we gather to worship on Sundays. Members of our safety committee help develop and execute safety procedures for our sanctuary and children’s ministry in the event of an emergency. Select members of our Safety Team are stationed at the entry doors of the sanctuary during our worship service as an extra measure of precaution and to welcome in attendees that may be late to the service. We ask for members in this function for a commitment of serving 1 Sunday per 4-6 weeks. If you are interested in learning more about ways you can serve on our safety team, please contact Rex Stewart.

TECH TEAM

The Tech Team exists to create an inviting environment that promotes the freedom to engage God in corporate worship. We work closely with the worship team to set up all the audio/visual components that go into an Iron City worship service, which includes projector, speakers, many cords and more. We meet at 1 p.m. each Sunday to set everything up and stay for about 30 minutes after the service to tear down the equipment. We expect our team members to serve 1-2 times a month.

Absolutely no experience with audio/visual equipment is needed, and we love to welcome new people and show them the ropes of what we do. For more information or to join the team, please contact Sam Sharples.
